Esdeer’s Journey
The idea for ESDEER began in Coral Bay in July 2007 during a time of contemplation and re-evaluation in my life following the sudden death of my 18 year old son in a car accident. Many of the items I used (and still do) to help me in my grief were hard to find and not available from any one source. I wanted to change that, but I also wanted to do more. I wanted to provide gifts that could be given at any time to show we care and love, remember Stuart in an ongoing way and be able to give back to my community.
The ESDEER logo represents an oak tree and was designed by Stuart's friend, Lincoln Cook. The oak is not only a celtic symbol of strength, endurance and courage but was also believed to be a gateway to other worlds. Its massive roots are firmly planted in the ground, its huge trunk strong and true and its deciduous leaves represent new growth and renewal each year.
It has been an evolving journey over the past 2 years, but I am delighted that ESDEER is now up and running. My hope is that ESDEER will bring solace and comfort to those who have lost loved ones, provide opportunities to demonstrate caring in every day life and honour my son, who was special to me beyond words. So.......
Esdeer now.........
